Last week we introduced our expert, Dalana Myers, who is a Certified Health Education Specialists. As we move forward, we have established that fad and crash diets are not the way to go. Especially if you are desire long lasting results!

TO LOOSE WEIGHT, you must burn more calories than you take in. Simple science!
But you cannot simply cut calories by eating less. Its important to eat quality calories so your body can function the way its suppose to. That's why low calorie crash diets and yo-yo dieting is unhealthy and potentially dangerous. Eating a variety of foods to maintain a balanced diet is key, accompanied with regular exercise and results will follow. Exercising will help you burn unwanted calories and fat. Not to mention the many health benefits of exercise such as improving your heart health, blood circulation and stamina.
Our expert has a few simple tips to live by...
* Never skip breakfast
* Eat 3 meals per day and 2 small snacks in between. Or 4 to 6 small meals a day.
* Exercise a minimum of 3 times a week.
* Know what foods to avoid.
(high fructose corn syrup, enriched flour, excessive sugar and trans and/or saturated fats- to name a few)

These tips will be our foundation. And yes, these are things we know and have heard before...
SO LETS APPLY IT and WATCH WHAT HAPPENS THIS TIME!

Through our Weight a minute Monday Series, we will elaborate on these basic tip and break each one down. So be sure to check in weekly. And of course, comment - leave questions for Dalana, stories of progress or challenges because we are on this journey together!
